Our projects range from substantial remodels and custom homes to speculative home and new multifamily buildings. We can accommodate a wide range of budgets and site conditions, from North Saanich to Chemainus and everywhere in between. We’re experienced in every phase of custom builds. If you have a design idea, we can help you conceptualize and refine it. If you need help with the ‘inspiration’, we can present you with some ideas or bring an architect, landscape architect or designer on board for their input. Throughout the construction period you’ll be provided with monthly updates including scheduling and budget reviews so you always know where your project stands.


We apply the same care and attention to our renos as we do to our custom builds. From basement developments, secondary suite additions, kitchens, even second-story transformations, Carwood loves the challenge of taking something that already exists and creating a unique, enhanced space. Duncan British Columbia

This is a 2.3 acre site with zoning in place for 26 multifamily unites. Carwood is currently in the design stage for the future build-out of this project.

5820 Wilson Road

Duncan British Columbia

We are currently in the process of rezoning this property to accommodate 8 level-entry patio homes with a focus on the 55+ buyer. This proposed development is located on a 1-acre flat lot in a well-established area with growth potential.

Maple Street Patio Homes

Chemainus British Columbia

Carwood is currently in the building completion stage for 4 patio homes in the heart of Chemainus. This project has focused our attention on the 55+ buyer, with thoughtful features like extra wide halls and doors, oversized showers and level yards with easy landscaping.


Madrona Drive

North Saanich

This project consisted of a house covering two single family lots. Carwood moved the
house, turned it 90 degrees and placed it back down on one of the lots and build a
new, single family house of the other lot.

Silver Mine Estates

Shawnigan Lake British Columbia

Carwood was involved in the last phase of Silver Mine Estates in Shawnigan Lake B.C. This subdivision consisted of 37 fully serviced lots ranging in size from 0.25 – 0.5 acres in Size. The houses built ranged in size from 2,300 square feet up to 2,800 square feet.

Highland Ridge

Shawnigan Lake British Columbia

Carwood helped develop and build out Highland Ridge in Shawnigan Lake, B.C. Highland Ridge consisted of nineteen 1 acre lots, unique in the sense that each lot was allowed a secondary house / carriage house.

Fisher and Fairfield

Cobble Hill British Columbia

Carwood developed this complicated 2.5 acre site into a 5 lot strata subdivision, building 5 single family residential houses. This site had environmental and drainage issues that needed to be solved before PLA and subdivision approval were granted.

Trumpter Point

Quamichan Lake British Columbia

Carwood was hired by Dr. Crosbie Watler to build a 2,800 sq foot 2 story custom residential house on Quamichan Lake, Duncan, BC.

Berkeley Street

Duncan British Columbia

Berkeley Street development was a three lot single family residential subdivision in the heart of Duncan. This was a speculative project for Carwood with all houses going under contract before completion.

Vista Grande

Chemainus British Columbia

Carwood was involved with the build out of this successful 34 lot waterfront single family residential subdivision in Chemainus, B.C.

Skelly Residence

Shawnigan Lake British Columbia

1845 Highland Ridge – Carwood was hired by the homeowner to build a new custom 2600 square foot residence.

Camp Qwanoes

Crofton British Columbia

Carwood was hired by Camp Qwanoes, a Christian summer Camp for kids, to rebuild a camp washroom. The washroom was 800 square feet, cedar and fir post and beam, with polished concrete floors, hand cut rafters and many custom features – total budget was $160,000.
